Our story

Building and running software since 2013

We started in 2013 as ClockedIn Limited, building biometric time and attendance software. Running our own product taught us what most agencies never learn: what it takes to keep software working, year after year, for customers who depend on it.

We became Cube Purple, and today we build bespoke software for UK businesses while still running our own products, FireArrest and ClockedIn, with ClockedInOne on the way.

Our head office is near Uppingham in Rutland. You deal with one team, from the first call to long-term support.

A note from our CEO

Why I started Cube Purple

I spent over a decade running a construction business. It taught me that software only matters if it works for the people doing the job.

We started in 2013 as ClockedIn Limited, building biometric time and attendance software. We still run it today, and we support the businesses that rely on it every day.

FireArrest came about the same way. A conversation with a friend in the fire protection industry showed me how poorly the existing tools served the people who depended on them. So we built something better, with the installers who use it on site.

Today we also build bespoke software for other UK businesses. The approach hasn't changed. We start with what's broken, we explain everything in plain English, we agree a fixed price before any work starts, and we stay after launch.
